Javan Rhino
Population: <100 individuals
Javan rhino previously found throughout Southeast Asia, but these animals are now on the verge of extinction with only a small population remaining in the Park is home to Indonesia after the animal population in Vietnam is extinct. Leatherback turtles
Leatherback turtles have survived for more than hundreds of millions of years, is now facing extinction. From the estimates indicate, for the past twenty years the number of species is declining rapidly, particularly in the Pacific region: only about 2,300 adult females left. This puts into the Pacific leatherback sea turtles are the most endangered population in the world. To overcome this, the three countries namely Indonesia, PNG and the Solomon Islands have agreed to protect the leatherback turtle habitat through the National Partnership Agreement Mou Tri.
Fin Whale
Fin Whale (Balaenoptera physalus) is a marine mammal enters the suborder of baleen whales. Pope, which has a length of almost 27 meters long, is the second largest whale and the second largest animal after blue whales.
Whale fin whales are long and slim posture. Fin whale's body brownish gray but the lower surface lighter. There are two subspecies: northern fin whales in the North Atlantic and the Antarctic fin whales in the southern oceans. Cendrawasih Bird
Hair & beauty not seen since yangg feet short, it was supposed that the bird of paradise is heavenly. No wonder when people call it a bird of paradise from Paradisaeodae family. Paradise widely spread in eastern Indonesia, especially in Papua, Ternate, Aru Island and several small islands in the vicinity. Also found in Papua New Guinea, Australia and the adjacent islands. Beautiful feathers mainly found in male paradise. Generally very bright feathers with a combination of black, brown, orange, yellow, white, blue, green and purple. The famous bird of paradise species include Paradisaea apoda, Paradisaea minor, Cicinnurus regius & Seleucidis melanoleuca. These birds live alone in the mountain valleys of tropical forests and common nesting above the canopy of tall trees. Size of adult male about 46 cm to the tail, wings 61 cm from tip to tip. Paradise Females usually lay two eggs, incubate and raise their children alone. Classified as omnivores Paradise by eating fruit, seeds, insects, snails and small lizards. Species of paradise protected since 1931 by the Wildlife Protection Act No. 266 Year 1931.Eagles Bondol Bird
This bird is a medium-sized (45 cm) white & brown blonde hair in contrast to the black primer coat and will reach adulthood in the third year, the difference between the old young bird was tail end of the round is not menggarpu. brown eyes, beak greenish gray, dingy yellow legs and feet. Shark Saws (Pristis Microdon) are fish that live in Lake Sentani. Shark saws are also popularly known as stingray or shark because it is endemic in Sentani Lake Sentani, Papua.
