Komodo Dragon


Komodo is endemic species of ancient reptiles that lived since antiquity. The evolution of the genus Varanus dragons began emerging in Asia between 40-25 million years ago. Komodo is a close relative of the dinosaur. It is seen from the discovery of fossils of dinosaurs that would indicate the similarity structure of the body with the dragons. The dinosaurs are long extinct but dragons still exist. Komodo called last dinosaur in the world. Animals with a period known as the lizard dinosaur carnivores but they are also animal cannibals because they sometimes prey on their children. Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) is the largest type of lizard. Komodo recorded the largest-ever 3.13 meters in length and weigh 166 pounds. Komodo dragons can be found on the island and the small islands around it in the province of East Nusa Tenggara. Komodo habitat can only be found in the Indonesian archipelago and not on other parts of the world.
